I have been following Doctor Who from the new start. I find it interesting but I am (yet) not completely won over. I think some of my disaffection, steams from the fact that the show has lot of mythology, who is to an old fan probably really interesting. But I often find that the Doctors old enemies are really not so interesting and rather over used *cough* Darleks *chough*. And the premise in the show, that the Doctor is the smartest guy in the universe, can take some of the supense out of the story. The show seems also to have something against Transhumanisme. But there are also some epic story telling on a truly grand scale, with a mixture of horror and silliness, that are to me to be a rather British speciality.
